Gundam TCG - Newtype Challenge 2026 Mission 1 21/02/26
Welcome, Pilots, to the Newtype Challenge!
This event is recommended for intermediate to advanced players who want to test their skills.
All players require the Bandai TCG+ App and a TCG+ account in order to play the event and receive their pairings each round as well as report match results.
Doors will open at 10:00AM for registration with round 1 starting as close to 10:30AM as possible.
Format is Standard Constructed.
There will be 4-5 Swiss rounds depending on attendance, in a Best of 1 format, before a cut to top 8.
The top 8 will be Single Elimination Best of 3 with no time restriction (but please play at a reasonable rate!)
First place will receive GD01-065 Freedom Gundam
Top 4 will each receive ST04-010 Kira Yamato
Each participant will receive one GD03-118 Awakened Potential
Each participant will also contribute two GD03 boosters to the prize pool, with everyone walking away with at least one booster!
Signing up through TCG+ DOES NOT guarantee you a place in the event, only through buying one of these tickets can you guarantee a space in the tournament.
Please note that Excelsior! does not process refunds for tickets cancelled within 7 days of the listed event start date. Players who have purchased tickets are expected to make a good faith effort to complete the event - players not in attendance will not receive products associated with the event.
